Follow: Blog, Insta, LinkedIn, Twitter.As a Payment Methods Leader, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and expanding our portfolio of payment methods in Mexico. You'll play a crucial role in connecting our platform with local and international payment rails, ensuring secure, efficient, and user-friendly payment experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging the lifecycle of local payment methods, from discovery and integration to performance monitoring and optimization.Acting as the go-to expert on payment systems in Mexico, including SPEI, CoDi, card networks (Visa/Mastercard), bank transfers, and alternative payments like OXXO Pay, Paynet, and digital wallets.Identifying and evaluating new payment partners and processors, negotiating terms, and supporting onboarding and integration efforts.Working closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of payment features across the platform.Collaborating with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure all payment methods meet applicable CNBV regulations, KYC/AML requirements, and internal policies.Monitoring key payment KPIs (approval rates, failures, chargebacks, reconciliation accuracy) and leading continuous improvement initiatives.Providing ongoing market intelligence and insights on payment trends, user preferences, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape in the Mexican fintech market.Coordinating with Customer Support and Operations teams to address payment-related issues and improve the end-to-end payment experience for users.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, or e-commerce, ideally with exposure to payment method management in Mexico.Strong understanding of the Mexican payment infrastructure, including SPEI, CoDi, STP, acquiring banks, and cash-based payment models.Familiarity with PCI DSS, anti-fraud measures, and payment compliance requirements under CNBV and other local regulatory bodies.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, monitor performance, and identify trends or issues.Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage partners and coordinate across teams.Knowledge of payment reconciliation, settlement, and treasury operations is a plus.Experience working with cross-functional product and technical teams (e.g., APIs, payment gateways).Proficiency in English (intermediate to advanced).Job Candidate Privacy Policy – https://www.rapyd.net/candidate-privacy-policy#J-18808-Ljbffr
