Site Civil Engineer

Job Description Description Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join our team in our Birmingham, AL or Huntsville, AL office. You'll have the chance to build your career while contributing to impactful solutions across the communities we serve.Key Responsibilities Lead and manage civil/site projects from concept through design and deliveryPrepare and oversee design for grading, drainage, utilities, and site layoutPerform and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and reportsServe as engineer of record and ensure strong QA/QC on all deliverablesCoordinate with architects, developers, and internal disciplines to support integrated project deliveryManage project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure on-time, on-budget performanceMentor and support the development of junior engineers and designersParticipate in client meetings and support proposal development as neededWhat you'll need Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldActive PE license required (or ability to obtain within six months if applicable)Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil/site design, land development, or civil infrastructureStrong experience with grading, drainage, and utility designProficiency in Civil 3D and standard design toolsExperience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholdersStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred: Experience working with both private development and public-sector clientsFamiliarity with local permitting and regulatory processesExperience supporting business development or client relationship management#LI-SG1Why Join Our Team We know work isn't only about what you do, it's also about who you work for and with!
