Parking Lot Attendant - Chatham

Summary:
The purpose of this position is to patrol the Banking Center exterior property and parking area by foot, enforce banking center parking policy. The position will ensure the Banking Center parking area is used by the Bank’s customers and employees and will use tact and diplomacy in redirected non-customers/non-employees to not park on the Bank’s property. The Parking Lot Attendant will conduct this role while insuring the Bank’s solid reputation is maintained.
Hours: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Monday -Thursday) and 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Friday)
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service to all employees and visitors to the property.
Proactively redirect non-customers/non-employees from parking on the Bank’s premises in a courteous yet firm manner.
Provide alternative parking options for customers and non-customers as needed.
Patrol assigned post on foot and report unusual activity to Banking Center Manager and Security Department.
Report maintenance and safety conditions which might endanger all inhabitants.
Respond to all requests for assistance relayed by Supervisor or other responsible manager
Assist in providing a safe and professional work environment for employees, customers and non-customers.
Responsibilities include crowd control and assisting Police Department/Fire Department/EMS or other officials during these processes; maintain control at traffic accidents, assist victims, and investigate causes.
De-escalate any potential issues.
Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years in similar position or a combination of education.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
High School Degree or equivalent
Trained in de-escalation tactics (preferred)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Professional demeanor with focus on exemplary customer service.
Must have a disposition to quickly deescalate potential incidents.
Ability to assert control in a non-aggressive manner.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must have basic computer, data entry, and report writing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must be able and willing to work with minimal supervision.
Must have cyber security awareness to protect the digital environment, the Bank, and customers.
