Technologist-Radiology Weekender Days

Overview Job Summary Evaluates and assesses patients to establish functional, measurable goals to promote restoration of functional abilities. Provides treatment according to a written plan of care to meet established goals. Plans for discharge and communicates findings and progress according to professional licensure/certification, scope of practice and departmental/discipline policies and procedures. Produces other reports as needed. May supervise clinical students and support staff including certified/licensed assistants, technicians, and volunteers. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health, and healing. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Responsibilities* Evaluates and assesses the patient based on subjective and objective information.* Develops a written plan of care.* Provides treatment according to established goals on plan of care.* Evaluates effectiveness of plan of care. Reassesses patient?s functional status.* Provides discharge planning information which includes patient/family education, follow-up, and referral to community resources.* Contributes to the development of staff and students.* Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery.* Completes assigned goals.Experience Minimum Required Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program. Preferred/Desired 1 year experience in a clinical setting. Education Minimum Required Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R). Preferred/Desired Associates degree in related field Special Skills Minimum RequiredDemonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.Licensure Minimum Required ARRT (R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
