The company focuses on building scalable, reliable, and modern solutions that help organizations innovate and grow.Role Description The Java Architect role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pasadena, CA. This role is responsible for designing and overseeing complex Java-based architectures for web and enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Day-to-day tasks include defining architectural blueprints, selecting appropriate frameworks and tools, guiding microservices design, and ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational standards. The Java Architect collaborates closely with software developers, product managers, and DevOps teams, reviews technical designs and code, and provides mentorship to engineering teams. The role also involves participating in technical roadmapping, conducting architecture reviews, and supporting implementation and deployment across Innovya’s diverse technology projects.Qualifications Strong foundation in Software Development with Java, including experience building enterprise-grade applications.Proficiency in Architecture design, including system decomposition, integration patterns, and performance optimization.Hands-on experience with Microservices and related frameworks, focusing on distributed systems and service orchestration.Deep understanding of Design Patterns and their practical application in large-scale Java solutions.Experience with Jakarta EE or similar enterprise Java platforms for building robust, scalable services.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
