Mechanical Project Manager

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced *Mechanical Project Manager* with a strong background in self-perform mechanical and plumbing construction. The ideal candidate will have experience managing labor efforts and project execution on complex *heavy industrial and institutional construction projects*, with specific expertise in *mechanical process piping and advanced plumbing systems*. Key Responsibilities * Manage overall project execution, including labor, schedules, cost control, procurement, quality, and safety. * Oversee and coordinate mechanical and plumbing installation activities. * Manage project labor requirements and workforce productivity. * Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved. * Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance. * Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements. * Ensure work is performed according to project specifications, schedules, and quality standards. * Identify and resolve project issues through effective problem-solving and decision-making. * Coordinate with field personnel, project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. * Review and manage mechanical and plumbing system installation and operational requirements. * Maintain project documentation and management controls throughout project execution. * Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and construction requirements. Required Qualifications * *5-10 years of experience* in heavy industrial and institutional construction. * Experience working for a *self-perform mechanical/plumbing contractor*. * Demonstrated experience managing overall labor efforts on construction projects. * Strong background in *mechanical process piping*. * Experience with *advanced plumbing systems*. * Previous experience managing projects valued at *$5 million or more*. * Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing system installation and operation. * Demonstrated experience managing industrial and institutional mechanical construction projects. * Proficiency with project management controls, including: * Scheduling * Cost control * Procurement * Quality control * Safety management Additional Requirements * Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. * Dedicated, self-motivated, and highly organized. * Stable employment history. * Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. * Willingness to work assigned hours and schedules as required by project needs. * Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. * Must be willing to work on-site in the Baltimore, MD area. Certification * *OSHA 30-Hour Certification required prior to start date.* * Candidates who do not currently hold the certification may complete an employer-provided OSHA 30-hour course at no cost.
