Technical Designer/Drafter - Moorestown, NJ

Atlas Tech, a rapidly expanding company supporting the US Military and other Government entities, is seeking a passionate, flexible, highly motivated Technical Designer/Drafter to join our group of Information Technology professionals. This position will be onsite in Moorestown, NJ.You Will:Candidate will create and modify detailed drawings using industry standard AutoCAD drafting softwareCandidate will be responsible for development and review of SIDs, Hull/Class drawings, TDPs, and As-Built drawings to ensure compliance with applicable standards (COMDINST M9085.1C, ASME-Y14.100, and others)Candidate will work closely with subject matter experts to prototype, design, document, and occasionally assist with installation of electronic C5ISR equipment and associated wiringCandidate will conduct site surveys of DOD C5ISR installations, either ashore or afloat, to document existing/new layouts equipment arrangements, cabling, and power systemsCandidate will create detailed sketches with dimensionsMaintain multiple repositories using O365You Have:U.S. CitizenshipAbility to possess and maintain a SECRET security clearanceExperience collecting data, creating reports, and using DoD and/or NIWC processesKnowledge of shipboard terminology, welding symbology, structural shapes, cables, connectors, (any or all) a plusExperience with design, drafting, operation, and installation of shipboard electronic systemsExperience with proper use of ModelSpace/PaperSpace and viewports in AutoCADExperience with attributes and block creation and manipulationExperience using O365Strong oral and/or writing skills that enable the individual to clearly communicate with all levels of employees, management, and organizationsStrong work ethic and commitment to qualityStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and balance multiple goals and prioritiesAbility to problem solve independentlyAbility to travel occasionallyEducation/Experience:Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting or minimum of six (6) years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, or similar technical designKnowledge of USCG systems and TCTO process is a plus
