Long-term (3+ years) open-ended consulting role | NYC | 3x/week onsite in MidtownI am representing a global leader in asset management and working directly with the Head of Enterprise Data Engineering on this critical long-term consulting hire.-Please no third parties-Must be able to work independently (US Citizen or GC holder)and willing to work on corp to corp basis. Client preserves the option of converting to an FTE in the future without sponsorship.-Must have recent and long tenured experience with a competitive global asset manager or hedge fund with a complex mix of public and private assets.A global leader in asset management is looking to hire a senior technology platform leader to own the Security Master practice and platform within Enterprise Data Engineering. This person will operate as the firm’s New York Head of Reference Data Technology, leading strategy, change management, and platform evolution across both public and private assets.This is intentionally structured as a long-term, open-ended consulting role for someone who can step in at a high level, drive the roadmap, and help build a scalable, enterprise-grade Security Master capability over time.They need someone who is both technical and highly business savvy — someone who can work closely with the front office, speak candidly with senior leaders, drive change, and build for scale in a complex investment environment.Key requirements:deep Security Master / Reference Data ownership experiencestrong familiarity with Markit EDMgood understanding of how VPM is managed and built outexperience with private securities and imperfect / non-standard market datastrong change management, leadership, and stakeholder skillsability to lead the associated engineering effort, including a full stack engineer being hired alongside the roleThis is a rare opportunity to own a mission-critical data platform in a highly sophisticated investment environment and help build for substantial scale over the next 5–10 years.
