As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support, implementing therapeutic interventions, coaching staff, and fostering a nurturing learning environment for our students.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field.Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (required).Experience working with elementary school students with emotional and behavioral challenges.Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and interventions for supporting students with diverse needs.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, families, and community partners.Ability to coach teachers and educational technicians on the use of positive behavior supports and related strategies and interventionsCommitment to promoting a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and celebrates student success.Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with elementary students with social, emotional, behavioral needsCertification or training in trauma-informed practices, social-emotional learning, or behavioral interventions.Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing special education services.Responsibilities including but not limited to:Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive IEPs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student in the therapeutic intervention program.Provide Direct Instruction: Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction to students, utilizing evidence-based strategies and accommodations to support their learning and social-emotional growth.Implement Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions to address students' emotional and behavioral challenges, promoting self-regulation and positive coping skills.Monitor Progress and Adjust Interventions: Regularly assess students' progress and adjust interventions as needed, tracking data to measure growth and inform instructional decisions.Collaborate with Colleagues and Families: Work closely with school staff, including special education teachers, counselors, and support staff, to coordinate services and ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
