Small Parts Assembler | Precision Manufacturing | 2nd Shift East Providence, RI $18.25/hour | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–11:30 PM Full-Time, Temp-to-Permanent | Multiple Immediate Openings Are you currently assembling electronics, medical devices, plastic components, mechanical parts, jewelry, cables, or other small products? An established precision manufacturer in East Providence is adding multiple experienced Small Parts Assemblers to its second-shift production team. This is not general warehouse work. The position requires strong hand dexterity, close attention to quality, and the ability to assemble and inspect small components accurately throughout the shift. Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Predictable Monday-through-Friday schedule No scheduled weekends Seven immediate openings Temp-to-permanent opportunity Consistent second-shift hours Detailed bench-assembly work Opportunity to gain precision-manufacturing experience Cross-training in assembly, inspection, and related production functions What You Will Be Doing Assemble small plastic and mechanical components Perform detailed hand and bench assembly Follow written work instructions and established production procedures Fit, connect, position, glue, or bond small parts as required Inspect components and completed products for defects Perform visual quality checks during the assembly process Identify damaged, incomplete, or nonconforming parts Count, sort, organize, and stage production materials Record production quantities and quality information accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation Communicate production or quality concerns to the supervisor Experience That Transfers Well Strong candidates may have worked as a: Small Parts Assembler Production Assembler Bench Assembler Medical Device Assembler Electronics Assembler Mechanical Assembler Assembly Technician Manufacturing Associate Production Associate Cable or Wire Assembler Plastic Parts Assembler Quality Inspector Visual Inspector Kitting Associate Jewelry Assembler Optical Assembler Relevant industry experience may include: Medical devices Electronics Plastics manufacturing Precision components Cable or wire products Consumer products Jewelry or detailed hand assembly Laboratory products Automotive components Cleanroom or controlled manufacturing What We Are Looking For: At least six months of hands-on assembly, production, inspection, or manufacturing experience Experience working with small parts, components, devices, or finished products Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to perform repetitive, detail-focused work Experience checking products for visible defects or quality issues Ability to follow written instructions and standard procedures Basic math, reading, writing, and documentation skills Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Ability to consistently work the full second-shift schedule Experience with adhesives, gluing, bonding, fixtures, magnifiers, gauges, hand tools, inspection equipment, or written manufacturing instructions is especially relevant.
