Starting Pay: $20.2490 Hourly ($42,118)<\/strong><\/u><\/span> After 1st Year: $22.0712 Hourly ($45,908)<\/span> After 2nd Year: $22.7798 Hourly ($47,382)<\/span> After 3rd Year: $23.4635 Hourly ($48,804)<\/span> After 4th Year: $24.1678 Hourly ($50,269)<\/span> After 5th Year: $25.0163 Hourly ($52,034)<\/span><\/p>\n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n Sixty (60) semester hours of college;<\/span><\/p>\n * OR-<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Thirty (30) semester hours of college -AND- <\/strong>one (1) year experience in the supervision of residents in an institutional facility;<\/span><\/p>\n * OR-<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n High school diploma or equivalent -AND-<\/strong> two (2) years' experience in the supervision of residents in an institutional facility.<\/span><\/p>\n SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/u><\/span> Must successfully complete physical restraint training on an annual basis.<\/span> Must possess valid Michigan driver's license.<\/span><\/p>\n GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:<\/strong><\/u> Performs a variety of tasks involved in the supervision, care and guidance of neglected and delinquent youths residing at the Genesee County Juvenile Justice Center; processes resident admissions and releases; works under the direction of a supervisor.<\/span><\/p>\n STATEMENT OF TASKS:<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n \n* Supervises resident peer groups and\/or individual youth to ensure the health, safety and security of both residents and staff;<\/span><\/li>\n* Participates in team discussions and team decisions related to client care;<\/span><\/li>\n* Admits residents into the facility and orients them to rules, regulations and routines;<\/span><\/li>\n* Disciplines residents using prescribed procedures;<\/span><\/li>\n* Instructs and assists residents in personal hygiene, dress and grooming;<\/span><\/li>\n* Escorts residents to meals, school and other scheduled events on time;<\/span><\/li>\n* Maintains a safe, secure environment through the appropriate use of security systems;<\/span><\/li>\n* Assists in facilitating resident group meetings;<\/span><\/li>\n* Supervises and participates in resident's recreational activities;<\/span><\/li>\n* Observes residents for signs of illness or emotional disturbance and makes reports as needed;<\/span><\/li>\n* When directed, assists in searches for escapees\/runaways from the facility and physically restrains residents in order to prevent an escape;<\/span><\/li>\n* Issues supplies when needed;<\/span><\/li>\n* Utilizes a computer or word processing machine to prepare and maintain records and reports as needed;<\/span><\/li>\n* Administers medicine and special care of ill residents as instructed;<\/span><\/li>\n* Performs relatively simple clerical duties;<\/span><\/li>\n* Serves meals and snacks as required.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Please see the attached job description for more details.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>","
