These insights, driven by the world’s most accurate data, enable asset owners to optimize infrastructure health, drive operational efficiencies, reduce risk, and minimize their carbon footprintGoalThe goal of the Field Technician is to learn the practical techniques required for the preparation of NDT Global's tools, as well as the safe execution of the pipeline of on-site activities required to load, launch, receive, and retrieve the tools.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the onsite support and assistance for the tool:Inspection tool preparation and verification: assembly, configuration, and confirmation of the inspection tool to a defined build stateInspection tool maintenance: work performed on the inspection tool in the course of normal maintenanceInspection tool replacement: work on the inspection tool for the purpose of refurbishment to a given stateSupports in the execution of the inspection tool launch, run, and receive, ensuring proper handling of the tool during set-up, loading, launching, and retrieving while being responsible for coordinating the Above Ground Markers (AGM) movement and tool trackingPerforms the required field documentation in connection with inspection projectsCarries out daily risk assessments as part of their duties in line with HSEQ standardsRaises any potential problems, issues, or concerns with supervisor in a timely mannerDelivers exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customersOther duties as assignedQualifications / EducationA two-year degree, diploma, or technical vocational training as an Engineer Technician in Mechatronic, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering is requiredFull driver's license is requiredDemonstrates knowledge of general shop safety and issued tool safety proceduresDemonstrates an aptitude for learning new technologies and conceptsExperienceMinimum of 1 to 2 years of corresponding work experience, ideally in the oil and gas sectorA background in In-line Inspection (ILI), Acoustic Resonance Technology (ART), or Ultrasonic (UT) is preferredFamiliarity with a wide range of mechanical and/or electrical tools and test equipmentKnowledge of technical drawings and sets tool configurationsMust be proficient in spoken and written EnglishWork EnvironmentWorks in the field environment (onshore and/or offshore)Frequent work in outdoor weather conditions (hot, wet, cold)Frequent work in the workshop environment (including workshop hazards)Occasional work in areas of loud noises (mechanical and environmental)Frequent domestic and/or international travel (up to 50%)Works with chemicals and cleaning suppliesBenefitsGreat long-term career prospects and development opportunities Challenging tasks in innovative and diverse teams Attractive compensation system Flexible working environment
