Chef
Twisted Bine Beer Co.,Llc in Mount Joy, PA is looking for one chef to join our team. We are located on 93 E Main Street. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.
Responsibilities
* Concept Creation: Collaborating with the brewery's management to develop a menu that complements the beer offerings and overall brand identity. * Seasonal Menus: Designing seasonal menus to incorporate fresh, local ingredients and align with current trends. * Pairing Suggestions: Suggesting food pairings for different beer styles to enhance the overall flavor experience.
Food Preparation and Production
* Quality Control: Ensuring the highest quality standards in food preparation and presentation. * Kitchen Management: Overseeing the kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance. * Cost Control: Managing food costs and implementing strategies to maximize profitability.
Staff Training and Development
* Hiring and Training: Recruiting and training kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and line cooks. * Skill Development: Providing ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge. * Team Building: Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Customer Service and Satisfaction
* Guest Interactions: Interacting with customers to provide recommendations and address any concerns. * Feedback Analysis: Gathering customer feedback and using it to improve the dining experience. * Customer Complaints: Handling customer complaints effectively and professionally.
Qualifications
* Culinary Arts Degree: A formal culinary arts degree from a reputable culinary school can provide a strong foundation in cooking techniques, food science, and menu planning. **PREFERRED NOT REQUIRED** * Related Degrees: Degrees in hospitality management, food service management, or nutrition can also be beneficial.
Experience
* Kitchen Experience: Several years of experience working in professional kitchens, particularly in high-volume restaurants or breweries, is essential. * Management Experience: Experience managing kitchen staff, overseeing operations, and handling administrative tasks is valuable. * Brewery Experience: While not always required, experience working in a brewery or having a deep understanding of beer culture can be advantageous.
Skills
* Culinary Skills: Strong culinary skills, including cooking techniques, recipe development, and food presentation,are essential. * Management Skills: Effective leadership, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for managing kitchen staff and operations. * Creativity: The ability to create innovative and flavorful dishes that complement the brewery's beer offerings is crucial. * Business Acumen: A basic understanding of business principles, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability, is helpful. * Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills are essential for interacting with customers and ensuring their satisfaction. * Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is required to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.
