At Mission:Leadership, we continue to serve faith-based nonprofits, Christian schools, and churches by helping them find their next leaders. It’s fun and important Kingdom work!I’m reaching out to share an opportunity to lead a ministry that brings healing to the world through both action and word, providing healthcare that leads people to the hope of Jesus Christ. We’re partnering with MedSend to help identify their next Chief Executive Officer as their current leader, who has served for 17 years, prepares to retire. This is a planned and prayerful search for the ministry’s next-season leader.This is a growing, healthy, and highly impactful ministry. Their model equips healthcare providers in the Majority World, sends medical professionals from the U.S. on mission, and sustains missionaries so they can flourish long-term on the field. They also partner with other ministries, strengthening the global Body of Christ. The ministry is supported by an engaged Board of Directors and a strong staff team. The role is based in Fort Mill, SC (where the cost of living is below the national average, with some staff living nearby in Charlotte, NC). The salary range is $130,000–$160,000 annually.Learn more here: https://www.missionleadership.org/opportunity-profile/chief-executive-officer/medsendQUALIFICATIONSEssential AttributesCommitment to Christ, involvement in a local church, belief in the importance of demonstrating and proclaiming the Gospel and in the power of healthcare to do so.Can agree to and sign MedSend’s Statement of Faith.Proven experience as an executive within a growing organization or leading a similar or larger size nonprofit or similar-sized organization.Familiarity with all functional areas of a nonprofit, including administration (HR, fiscal management), fundraising (including public relations) and programs.Experience and success in motivating, recruiting, developing, retaining, and mentoring high performance, mission driven, and results oriented teams.Excellent written, oral, and public speaking skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with strong interpersonal skills.Demonstrated experience guiding the success of remote sales or fundraising teams.Self-aware, has high emotional intelligence, and welcomes feedbackAbility to be hands-on, due to the small staff size.EducationBachelor’s degree required.Advanced degree in business, intercultural studies, or missions, desired.ExperienceFive years prior experience as a CEO, executive director or in a related position at a nonprofit, foundation, government, or industry is required.
