As the Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with processing union payroll. The salary range is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00. Enters union, hourly and salaried payroll timesheets, payroll adjustments and corrections into the payroll system.Processes final payments to terminated employees ensuring payments are timely and in accordance with federal or state legislative requirements to minimize risk.Maintains accurate records on all employee payroll transactions. Verifies pay rates and deductions to ensure compliance with company policy, union contracts, SOX controls and employee designations.Responds to payroll inquiries and requests within established service level agreements. Provides guidance and educates employees as needed to resolve pay or time discrepancies and ensure payroll is accurately processed.Manage union payroll reporting, including dues, benefits, and other deductions Education, Skills, Experience Needed:Associates Degree in business, finance, or related fieldMinimum of two years of relevant work experiencePrevious experience with JDE accounting system is preferredKnowledge of payroll, payroll deductions and payroll taxesSOX experience a plusConstruction industry experience preferredWorking Knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExcellent written and verbal communications skills; communicate effectively (clearly, concisely and professionally)Must be able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment and set priorities for projects assignedAbility to work independently with minimumA team player able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environmentKnowledge of multi-state union reporting, including payment of fringe benefits and duesAbility to handle confidential information with discretion This job description is subject to change at any time.
