The salary range of this position is $161,300.00 - $215,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for remote work, however, traveling to and attending occasional meetings on-site may be required.About the location: Orlando, Florida: To learn more about Orlando, please click here: https://www.visitorlando.com/A typical day as a Software Developer (Release Train Engineer)-Senior may include:Develops C++ software for advanced synthetic training environments integrated into flight simulators for pilot training against threats as project leadEvaluates and reviews C++ language codePrograms using C++, Python 3, HTMLSupports software integration, customer demos and training on NGTS/SEM productsDevelops parallel processes, threading and process communicationDevelops web-based applications using development technologyCollaborates with team members to design future enhancementsMust-havesBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering: Degrees in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace, Computer, Software Systems, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of C++ experience may qualifyDegree obtained from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education10 years of relevant work experienceSAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certificationSAFe Scaled Agilist (SA) certificationExperience with C++ across the full lifecycle (Ex. requirements, design, coding, testing, integration, etc.) for military aircraft simulators and training systemsExperience with troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing code in C++/Python for real-time embedded and GUI applicationsFull software development lifecycle experience with Agile, SAFe, Scrum and WaterfallExperience leading large software engineering teams of 100+ personnelHolds final Secret eligibility-The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security ClearanceDesired SkillsExperience with Python scripting, HTML web apps and object-oriented programmingExperience with Atlassian Suite (Ex. Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo, etc.)Direct experience with synthetic NGTS-like training environments (Ex. AH-64D/E, UH-60, CH-47, MQ-1 Predator, MQ-9 Reaper simulators; DIS/HLA; video record/playback; physics-based scenarios, etc.)Skills Crucial To Success At AMEWASCandidates must demonstrate a customer-focused mindset, professionalism, and discretion, while working collaboratively with management and teams to meet objectives. Candidates should be hard-working individuals with strong attention to detail and the ability to foster a positive, team-oriented culture.Physical Environment And Working ConditionsThe physical environment for this position requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site or near the work site.
