Join our team and be a part of a supportive work culture that values professional growth and community impact.Position Summary:We are seeking a versatile and organized individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant/Receptionist. This role is crucial in supporting our attorneys with document preparation, managing legal document workflows, and performing administrative tasks. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of our NYC office while assisting a team of dedicated professionals.Key Responsibilities:Document Management: Organize, maintain, and manage legal documents, including case files, pleadings, contracts, and correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate filing in NY, NJ, and Federal Courts.Legal Support: Assist in preparing legal documents, such as briefs, motions, and discovery requests, and coordinate filings in both state and federal courts.Client Communication: Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties as directed, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.Scheduling & Calendar Management: Schedule and manage appointments, meetings, hearings, and court dates, ensuring attorneys are reminded of upcoming deadlines and appearances.Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including drafting correspondence, answering phones, and managing emails. Direct inquiries and calls to the appropriate parties.Office Operations: Oversee office operations, including coordinating office supplies and equipment, and collaborate with headquarters to facilitate necessary orders.Travel Coordination: Manage attorneys' calendars, appointments, and meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations.Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a legal environment.Bachelor's degree in legal studies or a related field.Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn other applications.Experience with Best Authority software for creating tables of authorities.Experience with e-filing in State (NJ/NY) and Federal courts.Familiarity with NetDocuments or similar document management systems.Experience with SurePoint or similar billing software.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow efficiently.Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.Why Join Us?Competitive Salary & Comprehensive Benefits PackageOngoing Opportunities for Professional Growth and DevelopmentCollaborative and Supportive Work EnvironmentContribute to Our Firm's Philanthropic Initiatives
