General DescriptionThe Project Developer will provide project management assistance and task management supporting the development of renewable energy (wind and solar) projects from site identification through construction. This is a fast-paced and multi-faceted role facing multiple internal and external stakeholders and provides immediate exposure to commercial matters.Main accountabilitiesIdentify and organize the development of wind and solar projects by creating and updating project maps and databases using GIS toolsRepresent EDPRNA in the field, working with Project Managers and landowners to create and amend agreements, options, leases, and land salesAssist with community outreach and other stakeholder management activitiesConduct land, market, regulatory, and related project researchCompile documentation, attend meetings, conduct necessary studies, and perform other tasks as needed to obtain permits for solar projects at the local, state, and federal levelAssist with efforts to secure transmission and interconnection rights from utilities and transmission providersParticipate in the preparation of proposals that are submitted to power purchasers including utilities, community choice aggregators, and commercial & industrial customersSupport internal reporting and project tracking effortsAdditional duties as requiredDirect reports: NoneTravel: up to 65%Minimum qualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field1 - 2 years of progressively responsible project management or development experience in energy or a related industryStrong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth software preferredProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software with strong Excel skillsBehavioral requirementsStrong organizational and time-management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and teamwork skillsAbility to work productively with limited supervisionStrong interest in renewable energyAbility and willingness to travel and work overtime as neededPhysical demands & working conditionsSitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environmentSpeech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formLifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 poundsVision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formSafety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessaryJ-18808-Ljbffr
