In this role, you will own the full BI lifecycle from requirement intake through deployment and ongoing support while partnering closely with product and business stakeholders to turn data into clear, actionable insight.ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end BI solutions including requirement intake and KPI definition, data profiling and exploratory data analysis, semantic and model design, measure and calculation logic, dashboard and report development (theme, UX, drillthrough), testing and UAT, documentation, training, and deployment to Power BI Service with ongoing support.Build reliable datasets and pipelines using Power Query, Dataflows, and SQL; manage DirectQuery, Import, and composite models.Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform data services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.Partner with product and business teams to define metrics and data contracts, deliver clear and actionable insights and self-service datasets, and enforce data quality and security through RLS/OLS.Optimize refresh and gateway configurations and drive adoption through clear storytelling and iterative stakeholder reviews.Qualifications5–6 years of hands-on Power BI development experience.Expert-level DAX and Power Query (M).Strong SQL and dimensional data modeling skills (star/snowflake schemas).Proven performance-tuning experience (VertiPaq, Query Folding, Aggregations).Power BI Service administration experience (workspaces, gateways, RLS/OLS, incremental refresh).Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.STEM or related degree preferred.PayThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $100,000 – $120,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.BenefitsAs a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.
