This position assists with employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, training, HR systems, and employee communications. We are looking for a positive, approachable professional who enjoys helping people, building relationships, and solving problems. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, takes initiative, follows through, and has a genuine desire to support employees while growing their HR career.Job Functions:Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managers by answering questions, providing guidance, and supporting employee-related matters.Assist with employee relations activities, including performance discussions, workplace concerns, employee communications, and culture initiatives.Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, disability, COBRA, and employee benefit education.Coordinate employee leave programs and related processes, including FMLA, workers' compensation claims, return-to-work coordination, accommodations, and required documentation.Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, onboarding, orientation, and new hire processes.Maintain HR systems, employee records, personnel files, reporting, timekeeping support, and HR data accuracy, including Paycor (HRIS System) and related platforms.Coordinate employee training, onboarding requirements, compliance tracking, certifications, safety training, Hazmat training, and other required programs.Assist with employee badge management, facility access, onboarding and termination procedures, and related administrative functions.Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, communication initiatives, and workplace culture efforts.Job Qualifications and Preferred Experience:One (1) to three (3) years of Human Resources, recruiting, employee support, administrative, or related experience preferred.Basic knowledge of Human Resources practices, employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, or employment processes.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.Must pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) background check.Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS); Paycor experience is a plus.Manufacturing, industrial, oil & gas, distribution, or production environment experience is a plus.A college degree is not required. Relevant work experience, professional certifications, and education will all be considered.Physical Job Requirements: This position is office-based and requires regular on-site attendance Monday through Friday. The HR Generalist must be able to move throughout office and manufacturing areas, communicate effectively with employees and managers, and utilize standard office equipment. Occasional after-hours support may be required to address employee matters, business needs, or time-sensitive situations.Standard background check and drug screen are required before hire.
