Plant Clerk

Job Summary:The Plant Clerk serves as the first point of contact for visitors, drivers, and staff at the packing plant. This role is responsible for handling administrative tasks, coordinating communication between departments, and ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced agricultural or industrial environment.Key Responsibilities:Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and truck drivers in a professional mannerAnswer and direct incoming phone calls and emailsManage inbound and outbound shipment paperwork (bills of lading, invoices, packing lists)Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and shipmentsPerform data entry and maintain filing systems (digital and physical)Monitor office supplies and place orders as neededAssist with payroll timekeeping or basic HR administrative tasks Ensure compliance with company policies and safety proceduresProvide general administrative support to management and staffQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious office or clerical experience preferred, especially in agriculture, logistics, or manufacturingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong organizational and multitasking skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentBasic understanding of shipping/receiving processes is a plusBilingual preferred (English/Spanish)Working Conditions:Office environment within a packing plant settingMay involve interaction with warehouse or production areasOccasional exposure to varying temperatures and noise levelsStandard operation hours with possible overtime during peak seasonsPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit, stand, and move around for extended periodsOccasional lifting of office materials (up to 25 lbs)Compensation:[Min $17.50 - Max $19.00]This position may encompass other duties than the specified duties listed above.
