Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution center team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are paramount. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly valued.
Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks
Pick and pack orders accurately using RF scanners and order picker equipment
Manage inventory control through proper stock rotation, stocking, and organization
Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and mechanical tools in compliance with OSHA standards
Load and unload materials efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed
Maintain accurate records of inventory using warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms
Assist in shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely order fulfillment
Support warehouse distribution activities including order picking, packing, and shipping preparation
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues to supervisors
Follow safety guidelines for heavy lifting, materials handling, and use of heavy equipment
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers preferred
Knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400
Ability to operate reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy equipment safely (certification preferred)
Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and equipment maintenance is a plus
Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards for warehouse environments
Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform manual tasks involving heavy lifting and materials handling
Experience with order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes, and inventory control procedures
Familiarity with RF scanners and order fulfillment systems is desirable
Previous warehouse supervisor or management experience is advantageous but not required
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order accuracy
