Software Development Manager

HCSS has also been recognized by Built In as a Best Place to Work in Greater Houston and by Construction Executive for our technology innovation, reflecting our strong culture, industry leadership, and commitment to excellence.WHO WE NEED:HCSS is looking for a Software Development Manager who is eager to jump in and lead the HeavyJob team and coach a group of 8 - 10 people (developers and testers).Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Web Development : .NET (Web Development), C#, React, Azure1 - 2 years of experience managing direct reportsProven experience leading, coaching, and developing technical teamsStrong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and hands-on experience leading agile practices (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews)Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to anticipating technical challenges and opportunities for improvementRole Responsibilities: Build relationships, coach, and develop your team members through regular 1:1sTake responsibility for all aspects of the SDLC, including leading/overseeing all scrum activities (stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint reviews, stakeholder meetings)Collaborate with the Technical Product Manager to establish the roadmap of your assigned apps and servicesActing as the point of contact for the project(s) you'll be responsible for, and responding to queries from within and outside the departmentDrive adoption of best practices, including offline-first design, efficient networking, and app lifecycle managementTravel Requirements: Ability to travel to the Sugar Land, TX office roughly once per quarter.BENEFITS & PERKS:Part of our mission is to provide a great life for our employees.
