A growing public company operating within the aerospace, defense, and advanced technology sector is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner directly with the CEO and Board during a pivotal stage of growth and transformation.
This executive will lead all aspects of finance, capital markets, strategic planning, investor relations, operational finance, compliance, and long‑range value creation initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of public‑company leadership, operational finance expertise, manufacturing exposure, and strong strategic capabilities within complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise‑wide financial strategy aligned with long‑term corporate objectives
Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and growth planning
Oversee quarterly earnings preparation, investor communications, analyst engagement, and SEC reporting
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and long‑range planning processes
Drive operational finance initiatives across manufacturing and business operations
Oversee SOX compliance, internal controls, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance
Manage treasury, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and capital allocation strategies
Support M&A initiatives including due diligence, financial analysis, integration, and post‑acquisition optimization
Lead ERP modernization and finance transformation initiatives leveraging automation and AI‑driven processes
Manage enterprise risk programs, insurance strategies, and financial governance
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience with at least 5 years in senior executive leadership roles
Prior experience as a CFO, Deputy CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance executive within a public company environment
Strong understanding of SEC reporting, SOX compliance, investor relations, and capital markets
Experience within aerospace, defense, manufacturing, government contracting, or advanced technology industries strongly preferred
Familiarity with DCAA, FAR/CAS, and government contract accounting environments highly preferred
Proven leadership experience supporting operational and manufacturing organizations
Track record leading ERP implementations and finance transformation initiatives (SAP, Oracle, Costpoint, or similar)
Experience partnering with Boards, audit committees, lenders, investors, and executive leadership teams
MBA required; CPA strongly preferred
