This role directly supports CBP/DHS operational reporting needs, the CBP Trusted Partner Program, and maintenance of a Strategic Traceability Hub for IT project and dashboard tracking. The candidate will translate raw operational data into clear visual narratives that drive leadership decision-making and enhance transparency across CBP's mission space.Key Responsibilities:Provide IT support services including data collection, data quality validation, analysis, and recurring/ad hoc reporting for CBP/DHS stakeholdersDesign, build, and maintain dashboards using Tableau and Microsoft Power BI to display operational metrics and statistics for CBP leadership and mission stakeholdersSupport population and maintenance of the CBP Public Data Portal, ensuring published metrics are accurate, current, and appropriately formatted for public consumptionDesign and develop strategic data management frameworks and visualization tools aligned with CBP OIT's mission and reporting prioritiesEstablish data governance practices supporting consistent, repeatable reporting across dashboard productsSupport development, formatting, and dissemination of IT policy documents across CBP IT platformsSupport the CBP Trusted Partner Program by communicating metrics, status, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholdersProvide direct customer support to CBP stakeholders through dashboards and troubleshooting of reporting toolsMaintain a Strategic Traceability Hub to track IT projects, dashboard enhancements, and related deliverables from initiation through completionExperience Required:Minimum five (5) years of experience in IT support, data collection, analysis, and reportingDirect or indirect experience supporting DHS and/or CBP/DHS operations, or demonstrated working knowledge of CBP/DHS roles and missionsDemonstrated experience with Tableau and Microsoft Power BI for operational dashboard developmentFamiliarity with, or experience supporting, the CBP Public Data Portal or comparable public-facing data platformsExperience supporting development and dissemination of IT policy documentationSpecial Skills/Knowledge/Training Required:Proficiency in data visualization tool development (Tableau, Power BI)Strong data analysis and data management skills, including the ability to design strategic visualization frameworksAbility to structure and maintain project tracking systems (e.g., a traceability hub) for IT initiativesStrong written communication skills to support policy documentation and disseminationBachelor’s DegreePreferred Qualifications:Prior experience directly supporting CBP OIT or a CBP mission officeFamiliarity with the CBP Trusted Partner Program or comparable government-industry-international collaboration frameworksExperience establishing or maintaining a project traceability/tracking system across multiple concurrent IT initiativesCertification in Tableau or Power BI (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate)Benefits:Medical, Dental, and VisionShort-Term Disability (at no cost to you) & Long-Term DisabilityLife Insurance401(k) Savings PlanFlex Spending AccountsTuition Assistance ProgramProfessional DevelopmentPaid Time Off (PTO)11 Federal Holidays each yearSimIS, Inc. is an EOE / M / F / Disability / VET / Drug Free EmployerPowered by JazzHRzT3IVJ147s
