Senior Manager, Product Management

CompensationSalary Range: $150,000.00 - $215,000.00 USDThis role spans the entire Ambry/Tempus Diagnostics(Dx) portfolio with an immediate focus on expanding our CARE program across new modalities. As a Senior Manager, Product Management you will be responsible for developing and managing product strategy and roadmaps for software products and services for Ambry. You will be accountable for products within the current Ambry product portfolio as well as for developing and validating product ideas outside of existing products. You will be expected to develop and defend formal business cases to Tempus Dx leadership, maintaining expertise across clinical areas of focus, technical aspects of modern software development, and general understanding of current diagnostic market future potential and trends. This role includes the use of primary market research to add insight into the new product development pipeline. This role will interface with numerous functional areas including IT, Bioinformatics, R&D, Regulatory and Compliance, Quality, Clinical Operations, Business Development, and Commercial team.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDrives the strategic direction and product roadmap for identified areas within the diagnostic product portfolio to ensure alignment with commercial and/ or corporate objectivesDevelop and implement strategies for the integration of Ambry’s software systems and applications with EMRs of various healthcare systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test Ambry’s software and applicationManage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Ambry’s software systems and applications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirementsIdentify and address technical issues related to Ambry’s software products.Drive innovation identifying short and long-term product and business opportunities while contributing to product and marketing strategiesCreates and validates business cases for products in the healthcare IT space. This includes creation of product definition, market segmentation, collection of VOC, product requirements, and market analysisLiaises with internal and external stakeholders to better understand customer needs, coordinate feedback with commercial teams and customers around product lifecycle and identify process improvements along the value chainUnderstands market drivers, trends, regulatory, and test reimbursement implicationsDevelop policies and procedures for the use and access of Ambry’s software systems and applications to ensure security and compliance with HIPAA regulationsTravel up to 15% Education And KnowledgeBachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Genomics or a related field6+ years of experience in healthcare IT and software development. Ideally, SaaS or cloud-native application development.Knowledge of development leveraging FHIR, SMART on FHIR, client and server JSON/XML, HL7Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH)Technical CompetenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectivesProven problem-solving skills, and comfort in working in a dynamic environment with rapidly evolving business needsAbility to think creatively and develop, define, validate business cases for novel opportunitiesAbility to work independently and influence others around youExcellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision makingExperience managing software development projects and teams. Ideally with experience in Scaled Agile scrum-based development.Experience with phase-gated product development processes.Experience with SW design control best practices (SDLC).
