AMFT or PsyD Associate (unlicensed) therapist position

The position requires two evenings (which means the last session ends at 7 pm), two late afternoons (which means the last session ends at 6pm), and one Saturday (either 9am-1 pm or 10 am-2 pm) schedule. Therefore, there is the option of working Tuesday through Saturday or Monday through Saturday with one weekday off.This is an IN-PERSON position. The practice has a beautiful office space facing Ventura Boulevard, a waiting room, kitchen, printer and Wi-Fi.Embracing You Therapy group practice solely works with children (6+), teens (13+) and adults to provide individual or couple's therapy. The practice focuses on clinical issues that include ADHD, Anxiety disorders, OCD spectrum disorders, addiction, relationship issues, life transitions, and personal development. The Unlicensed clinician will receive supervision on a weekly basis from CBT, ERP, Mindfulness, and DBT approaches. For couple's therapy, our primary therapeutic approach is based on Gottman's Therapy. After the completion of the 90-day period, you will be enrolled in Gottman's Level 1 Training.Only those applicants who are selected for an interview will be contacted.Thank you for your interest in serving on our team!IT IS AN ASSET IF YOU:Completed Master’s or Doctorate degree in Psychology with the intention to become licensed in CA (required)Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychological Assistant, or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (required)Must have active Associate number!Strong conceptualization in behavioral and cognitive therapiesAttendance and participation in weekly staff meetings and group supervision with the Executive Director and clinical teamMust be in the office Friday and half-day on Saturday, plus one evening.1/3 of the caseload will be online therapy (telehealth).Ideal applicants have a history of long-term employment and infrequent job-hopping.Must be punctual.Must have own malpractice insurance.Ability to collaborate with other clinical team members.Opportunity to participate in OCD and anxiety awareness events, training/presentations, and conferences.Interest in working with neurodivergent clients, e.g., OCD and ADHD.Skills:Must be skilled in multicultural counseling, working with adults on personal development, anxiety, and relationship issues.Ability to provide collaborative and outcome-based therapy to individuals.Must have strong clinical skills as well as be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working, and highly ethical.Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a must.Responsibilities:Provide individual or couple’s therapy services to children, (6+), teens (13+) & adults of diverse backgrounds.Maintain office hours that are conducive to client needs.Maintain proper file documentation practices and electronic health records.Complete clinical documentation within 24 hours and no later than 72 hrs from the date of service.Be punctual to sessions with clients.THERE ARE SEVERAL BENEFITS OF JOINING OUR TEAM:This position is a W-2 position with accrued paid sick time.Weekly 1hr of Triad supervision.Once a month didactic training from a guest speaker$20/hour for non-clinical hours for tasks such as note-writing, staff meetings, supervision, and training (non-negotiable).$40/hr for clinical hours (non-negotiable).Clients will be provided for you.The ideal candidate will be willing to grow slowly, with the potential for a full-time caseload.Opportunity to facilitate groups, workshops, and talksFull-time administrative supportFree marketing, advertising, and brandingBeautiful office space in a quiet business community with free parkingOpportunities for growth within the companySafe, energetic, collaborative, and inspiring team environmentPeople-first cultureIf interested, please submit your CV and a cover letter to Dr. Menije at drb@embracingyoutherapy.com.
