Job OverviewThe Drywall Foreman is essential to the success of the projects at Rock Spring Contracting.Position SummaryA Foreman must have the ability to run large commercial construction jobs and have knowledge and experience in all aspects of the drywall trade. This position will be responsible for working with the Superintendent and Project Manager in ensuring that a job runs smoothly day to day and provide on-site supervision and support. The success of the position will be determined by jobs being completed safely, on time and on budget.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead and Interpret Plans and SpecificationsMust be able to read plans and perform layout for all types of jobsReading and Implementing Engineer and shop drawingsDetermine, schedule and verify correct manpower for assigned jobs based on budget and schedule needs.Determine and communicate necessary manpower to keep job running on scheduleEffectively communicate with GC Project Superintendents and Management.Develop good relationships with GCs on-siteAttend meetings as scheduled by GC field personnelComplete and submit all required reports: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, IncidentBe the leader on the job.Be a presence and go-to person for Rock Spring employees, GC employees and foremen from other trades.Be able to recognize and enforce quality controlEnsure timely completion of rolling completion lists and punch listsKeep the job clean and orderly. (trash, material, equipment, supplies, etc)Present yourself and Rock Spring in a professional mannerAssist PM staff and Superintendent in pricing RFIs and field changesDetermine Labor needed for RFIsHelp PM determine material needed based on field conditionsTrack and write tickets for work requested outside of contractExhibit a commitment to safetyUnderstand what it takes to have a safe job siteAttend Safety meetings as requiredAbility to obtain and maintain OSHA 30 certificationEnforce safety with the entire teamEnsure all employees know the safety procedures of RSC and the GC customersConduct safety training and toolbox talksReport all incidents as soon as possible to Rock Spring and GC Safety teamWork to ensure material is on-site to achieve the expected production and minimize waste.Perform field take-offs and material verifications as needed to verify stud heights, field conditions and site-specific conditions.Place orders, scheduling deliveries and minimizing waste.Request materials with realistic lead times and delivery windows.Work with personnel on-site to verify stocking means and methodsOther Duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience in the construction fieldTech Savvy, able to use iPad and associated programsVerfico, Plangrid, Email, Safety, Various GC construction softwareProficient in speaking and writing in English and SpanishExcellent in Blueprint and Specification interpretationAbility to multi-task and prioritize workPhysical and Environmental RequirementsProlonged periods standing, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.Physically able to install drywall and secure in place.Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time to lift and move drywall panels.Compensation Package:Competitive pay based on experience and qualificationsBonus opportunityHealth, dental, vision, and 401K PlansPaid time off
