CNC Machine Set-Up Operator (Medical Device Manufacturing)
CNC Machine Set Up OperatorThe CNC Machine Set Up Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and supporting a variety of manufacturing equipment, including CNC, EDM, automation, and robotic systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.Our team manufactures precision components and products that support the medical device industry and ultimately impact patient care and quality of life. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing technologies in a highly regulated, quality-focused environment where the work you do truly matters.In addition to equipment setup and operation, this individual may assist with developing and maintaining work instructions, documenting processes, and supporting production optimization activities as business needs allow.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machines, EDM equipment, automated systems, and robotic equipment to support production requirementsTroubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production flowPerform machine adjustments, tool changes, offsets, and minor programming edits as neededMonitor machine performance and inspect product quality to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirementsRead and interpret blueprints, routers, work instructions, and technical drawingsUtilize precision measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection equipment to verify product conformanceSupport preventative maintenance activities and communicate equipment concerns appropriatelyMaintain accurate production, scrap, and quality documentationAssist with creating, updating, and improving work instructions and standardized processesCollaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiativesFollow all safety, quality, and company procedures and maintain a clean and organized work areaSupport cross-training and operational flexibility within the department as neededQualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentationExperience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gaugesCNC setup and operation experience preferred; automation, robotics, or EDM equipment experience strongly preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shiftAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionallyAbility to work around manufacturing equipment and moving machineryWhy Join UsJoin a team that manufactures high-quality components and devices that support life-changing medical technologies.
