Our full time therapists maintain a caseload of 20-24 clinical hours per week, participate in on-site clinical training and supervision to advance skills, collaborate on research projects, provide professional presentations, and build a caseload with populations they are passionate about. This is a full time clinical music therapist position Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. This position will work with children with Autism & intellectual/physical disabilities, children who are Deaf/HOH and visually impaired, and early childhood groups utilizing our original social emotional curriculum. Roles & Responsibilities
Provide innovative and effective music therapy sessions to clients in group and individual settings
Conduct client assessments, develop treatment plans, track meaningful and applicable goals, and provide regular progress notes to clients
Participate in team meetings, events, and clinical training opportunities
Attend related community events, and provide professional presentations to advocate for our field.
Meet with supervisor regularly to gain support, identify growth areas, and pursue personal development
Competencies & Qualifications:
2+ years of professional experience as an MT-BC (Board Certified Music Therapist) with children in group and individual settings
2+ years of experience with children with disabilities and children with trauma history
1+ years experience working directly with teachers and client parents
Must have exceptional musical skills on piano, guitar, and voice, exceeding the AMTA core musical competencies
Able to adapt in the moment, both musically and clinically, to meet client needs
Skilled in extemporaneous songwriting
Able to transpose I, ii, iii, IV, V, vi chords in a minimum of 5 keys on both the piano and guitar, and play in a wide variety of styles according to client needs
Able to Identify and report clinical needs of children with disabilities and/or trauma history, and develop a related treatment plan for music therapy services

Compensation & Benefits for full time:
Pay dependent on experience with a range of $25-$29/hour
