Engineering Purchasing Coordinator

1st shiftE-VerifyLocation: Elgin, IL | On-SiteDuties/Responsibilities: Create all new tool build and tool repair ordersUpdates to ERP, Access database, and Tooling Report fileCustomer Purchase Orders in ERP and Access databaseIssue Purchase Orders to vendors for new tool builds and tool repairsGenerate Cost Breakdown sheet for each Purchase OrderIssue Purchase Orders for tool room supplies, automation equipment, maintenance supplies and engineering office equipment/suppliesUpdates to Tooling Report, as necessary, for use as source for financial statement entriesProcesses engineering project costs, including: tooling, samples and accounts payable and receivables.Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures accuracy of cost data.Prepare engineering project cost analysis reportsInvoice customers for new tool builds, tool repairs/modifications, and samples, as well as weekly review of collection effortsOn-going status review of open engineering packing lists, Tool Maintenance Cost Reports, pending Purchase Orders, open orders to invoiceRun various reports such as tool maintenance cost report and supplier charge backs.Preparation of various bi-annual reports for Project Management Reporting (PMR)Research & Development Reporting (R&D)Request, gather and input data (hours, costs, etc) from various teams within the company to support annual R&D tax filing submissionServe as primary backup support for Engineering administrative staffPhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.Office environment.Must be able to lift 15 lbs.Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.Education and Experience: High School education2-3 years of experience in finance or related fieldDetail orientated.Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar softwareProficient with ERP/Accounting softwareBenefits and Compensation: Full benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary plans $25 to $27 hourly
