Ongoing Job OpportunitiesAssistant Project ManagerWe are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our dedicated project management team and be responsible for defining the project’s objectives and overseeing quality control of the project. In this role, you will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to the schedule while keeping within budget. The Assistant Project Manager’s will assist with the planning, organization, and management of day-to-day operations, as well as any other responsibilities that the Project Manager sees fit.We offer our employees competitive benefit packages, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability insurance, 401(k), paid vacation, volunteer time off and sick time, and paid holidays.To apply for the position, please submit your resume to hr@walker-dev.com.Additional responsibilities:Creating and managing project budget for all assigned projectsDeveloping pre-construction RFP packageConducting project meetings, setting milestones, and formulating monthly owner reportEstablishing job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications), including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change ordersPerforming project scheduling, ensuring project quality control, and establishing overall project logisticsManaging the closeout processEnsuring fair treatment of subcontractors at all timesContacting new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and explaining how these needs could be met by specific products and servicesTo Qualify, You Must Have:Strong commercial building knowledge and excellent verbal and management skills in order to prepare cost estimates for bidding purposes5 years of experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractorPrevious experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present complex information in a clear and concise mannerAbility to organize necessary resources, including people, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired resultsConsistent attention to details with the ability to identify discrepanciesProficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills with a variety of software packages, Sage - Timberline, preferredConstruction Job SupervisorThe Construction Job Supervisor will coordinate all day-to-day site construction activities and supervise all field personnel to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget.
