Services areas include volunteer partnerships, strategic planning processes, neighborhood registration, housing programs, community engagement, and grant management.Minimum RequirementsRequires college coursework in Planning, Urban Studies, Communication, Public Relations, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field of study. Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in community engagement, non-profit development, or closely related experience. A combination of education, professional certifications, and equivalent experience may be considered for this position. Experience should involve working with diverse groups of people including minority populations, youth, and seniors.Must successfully pass a background check related to the position prior to any offer of employment or promotion.Must possess a driver’s license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record based on the City of Hampton’s criteria.Additional RequirementsRequires effective communication with internal and external customers.Requires working non-standard hours including evenings and weekendsRequires considerable local travel.
