SAP UI5 Developer

Position: SAP UI5 DeveloperLocation: San Antonio, TX-OnsiteDuration: Long termRole OverviewWe are seeking a UI5 Developer for a role based in San Antonio, Texas. This position requires working on-site five days per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building custom applications within an S/4 HANA environment, working independently from high-level functional designs to develop solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop custom applications using SAP UI5, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.Work within an S/4 HANA environment to build new solutions.Utilize Business Application Studio (BAS) and GIT for development.Work with OData v4, REST APIs, and CDS-based annotations.Understand and apply modularized ABAP code.Operate independently with minimal guidance to deliver solutions based on high-level functional designs.Required QualificationsExperience building custom UI5 applications; previous projects must be custom UI5 development, not primarily Fiori-based.Proficiency with Business Application Studio (BAS).Experience in an S/4 HANA environment.Strong understanding of modularized ABAP code.Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.Knowledge of object-oriented programming, MVC, and data modeling concepts.Experience with Gateway Services, OData, and CDS views.Experience with Fiori Elements.Demonstrated ability to work independently and possess strong communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience in delivering complex ABAP developments independently.Familiarity with new S/4HANA coding syntax and best practices.Experience with performance tuning and optimization of CDS views.Experience extending and integrating new solutions with pre-existing custom solutions.Required Skills:They have legacy apps that use Abap webdynpro-built UIs that need to be migrated from UI5. The new UI will need to be developed from scratchS/4 HANAJavaScriptCSSHTML5Develop UI5 components that can be reusedMust be able to develop components for Odata services (v4)Extend SAP-provided Fiori elements – sap building blocks frameworkStrong SAPUI5 development experience, JavaScript, CSS, and SAP Fiori Elements.Knowledge of working with OData v4, REST APIs, and CDS-based annotations.Experience working with Business Application Studio (BAS) and GIT.Good understanding of object-oriented programming, MVC, and data modeling concepts.Ability to take high-level functional design documents and develop solutions independently.Strong communication skills.
