Dish Washer (Kitchen Team Member)To love people by making sure we have clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glasses, etc. in order to serve up our picture-perfect food and craveable drinks. This position supports all areas of the restaurant and aids in total restaurant cleanliness and sanitation. HomeGrown's dish washers are some of the most important people in the building! No one else can effectively do their job without the support of a great dishwasher! This is a fast paced, high-volume role! Specific Functions and Duties: Scrap, scrub, spray, wash, sanitize all pots, pans, dishes glasses, utensils, etc. to ensure the restaurant operates smoothly at all times (70%*). Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written (5%*). Set up workstation (5%*). Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (5%*). Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%*). Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%*). Aids with putting away deliveries (5%). Qualification Standards: A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves. Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required. Ability to follow recipes exactly as written. Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day. Extreme Attention to detail. Able to work efficiently and communicate effectively in a high stress, fast paced environment. Willingness to help with maintenance responsibilities, prep cook responsibilities, and assist other stations on the line as needed. Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment. Mobility required during the entire shift. Ability to transport cases up to 50 pounds as many as 20 times per day. Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others. Physical: There are physical demands that come with this role. To be successful in this role you'll be regularly required to 1) navigate throughout the restaurant and communicate with guests, 2) move and grasp items up to five pounds, 3) occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, 4) bend and stoop. You must have adequate vision to be able to discern cleanliness throughout the restaurant and operate a touchscreen.
