This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, effectively manages multiple priorities and project timelines, and serves as a trusted liaison between clients and internal teams to support workflow coordination, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and overall client satisfaction.Please Note: This is a Project Manager role that supports environmental testing, laboratory operations, and client project coordination. This is not an IT or software project management position.What You'll DoServe as the primary point of contact and project lead for assigned client accountsManage client accounts, project setup, reporting requirements, and documentation within LIMS, CRM, and related systemsCoordinate and oversee project workflows, priorities, and deliverables across field services, laboratory, and internal support teamsMonitor project timelines, turnaround times, and deliverables to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and client expectations are consistently metReview work orders, reports, EDDs, invoices, and project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance prior to releaseCommunicate project updates, priorities, timelines, and issue resolution between clients and internal teams while proactively managing expectationsMaintain working knowledge of environmental laboratory services, regulatory programs, QA/QC requirements, analytical methods, and reporting standardsSupport client onboarding activities, project planning discussions, client meetings, and laboratory tours as neededAssist with sample coordination, bottle orders, pickups, subcontract coordination, and related project support activitiesIdentify workflow improvement opportunities and contribute to process optimization, operational efficiency, and overall client satisfactionNotify clients of results exceeding regulatory limits in accordance with company proceduresPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsWhat We're Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered1-2 years of experience managing client accounts, projects, or project workflows in a professional environmentPrevious experience in an environmental, laboratory, or analytical testing environment strongly preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM softwareExperience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) preferredWhat This Role IS NOTAn IT, software, or technical project management positionA systems implementation or Agile/Scrum roleA coding, development, or tech delivery jobWork Schedule & TravelFull-time position following a standard Monday-Friday scheduleFlexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed to support operational demandsAbility be able to travel locally for client visits, meetings, or training activities, as neededOur Commitment to Diversity & InclusionAt SPL, we believe that a diverse team is a strong team.
