Medical Office Clerk
Position OverviewClearwaters.IT is hiring Medical Office Clerks to provide clerical office support for the Air Force Accession Center. This role includes remote and in-office tasks supporting medical operations across 65 MEPS locations. Responsibilities include managing patient records, coordinating documentation for healthcare providers, ensuring timely arrival of medical files, and facilitating internal referrals.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate general instructions to applicants and refer them to appropriate Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) sections as neededRetrieve, update, and file medical records to ensure completeness and accuracyOrganize and research patient records, extract required information, and verify data for consistency with established guidelinesEnsure timely arrival and availability of medical records before scheduled appointmentsInitiate and locate medical records when requested by staff or healthcare providersObtain supporting documentation, or medical records not yet filed, to assist medical processingPerform general clerical and administrative tasks to support medical operations and ensure smooth workflowAdhere to all healthcare policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality standards including HIPAA complianceRequirementsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical assisting or related field preferred1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office settingBasic knowledge of clinical procedures and familiarity with medical terminologyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a team-oriented environmentAbility to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsMust possess an active T-1 Security Clearance or higher. Experience with unique Military Healthcare Systems/Procedures.
