For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $55.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $660.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $25.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $300.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $360.00
OR
For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $60.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $720.00
Job Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of recent skilled nursing experience is required: This ensures that the candidate has up-to-date, hands-on experience in a skilled nursing setting.
Proficiency in medication administration, physical assessments, and dressing changes is required: The candidate must demonstrate expertise in these critical nursing tasks to effectively manage patient care.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred: While not mandatory, a BSN is desired as it represents a higher level of education and training.
(EMR) is preferred: Cerner
Previous travel nursing experience of at least 1 year is required: The candidate should have substantial experience in travel nursing, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various healthcare settings.
Education:
Completion of a 2-year Associate Degree/BSN in Nursing
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of recent skilled nursing experience is required
Previous travel nursing experience of at least 1 year is required
License Required:
Must have an active WV nursing license.
Required certifications include BLS.
Other Skills required:
Patient Assessment: Proficiency in conducting thorough physical, psychological, and emotional assessments to guide patient care and treatment plans.
Medication Management: Expertise in administering medications, including intravenous (IV) medications, and managing medication schedules and dosages.
Wound Care: Skill in assessing, treating, and managing wounds, including performing dressing changes and utilizing advanced wound care techniques.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Ability to accurately measure and interpret vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory rate, to monitor patient conditions.
Care Planning: Competence in developing and updating individualized care plans based on patient assessments and changing needs.
Patient and Family Education: Effectiveness in educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices to improve health outcomes.
Documentation and Charting: Proficiency in maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR).
Infection Control: Knowledge and implementation of infection control practices to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare setting.
Emergency Response: Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies, including initiating life-saving interventions and protocols.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Skill in working with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care, ensuring all aspects of a patient’s needs are addressed.
