Job DescriptionMatrix is looking for a dynamic, detail oriented, individual able to work in a team atmosphere with a small, rapidly growing broker dealer. This professional will work with senior management and sales teams to assist with the day-to-day operations of the broker dealer. The responsibilities for this position include:ResponsibilitiesAnalyze U.S. Equity Options trade execution data to evaluate execution quality, routing efficiency, and market impactDevelop, maintain, and enhance Best Execution and Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) frameworks for options trading activityMeasure and monitor performance of proprietary algorithmic trading strategies, including execution quality, capture rates, slippage, and efficiency metricsPartner with trading, sales, and technology teams to translate raw execution data into actionable performance insightsBuild scalable business intelligence dashboards and analytical models to support internal decision-making and external client reportingPerform deep-dive analysis on order routing behavior across exchanges, venues, and liquidity typesIdentify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for strategy optimization and execution improvementInterface directly with institutional clients, presenting analytics, insights, and recommendations to improve trading outcomesSupport regulatory and compliance requirements related to Best Execution reporting and transparencyCollaborate with stakeholders to define new metrics, KPIs, and analytical methodologies aligned with evolving market structureQualificationsBachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required. FINRA Series 7 license required or must be obtained within six months of hire.SQLExperience writing complex queries, joins, aggregations for data extractionData ModelingExperience designing efficient data models and defining relationships.Experience cleaning, shaping, and merging data from various sources (ETL) – preferably using Power Query / MKnowledge of data warehouse concepts, preferably using Microsoft FabricProgramming experience using Python/R for advanced analyticsBusiness acumenLocationChicago, Illinois, USAThis position is available immediately.
