Production PlannerAbout the RoleWe're looking for a Production Planner to play a critical role in keeping our operations running efficiently and on schedule. This position is responsible for organizing and prioritizing production based on demand, resources, and quality standards—ensuring products are manufactured and repairs are completed on time.You'll work closely with Plant Managers, Shop Foremen, Project Managers, and cross‐functional teams to coordinate workflows, allocate resources, and continuously improve production planning processes.If you're detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and enjoy balancing schedules, people, and priorities, this role offers a strong blend of responsibility, visibility, and impact. What You'll Do Create, manage, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer delivery commitmentsReview work orders and plan workflows for new manufacturing and repair jobsCoordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to optimize throughput and minimize delaysMonitor job progress, identify risks, and proactively escalate issues when timelines or budgets are at riskCollaborate with Project Managers to confirm workload feasibility and shop capacityPrepare and deliver status, productivity, and performance reportsMaintain accurate production documentation and scheduling recordsPartner cross-functionally (warehouse, quality, safety, estimating, and shop leadership) to improve communication and efficiencyIdentify opportunities for process improvement, cost control, and scheduling efficiencyEnsure compliance with company quality and safety standardsWhat Success Looks Like Daily and weekly productivity targets are consistently metWork is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standardsProduction schedules are clear, realistic, and well-communicatedImproved coordination, fewer bottlenecks, and stronger delivery performanceWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or production supportStrong understanding of production workflows, resource allocation, and schedulingProficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systemsSolid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Management, Business, or a related fieldIn-depth knowledge of Manufacturing Resource PlanningExperience in electrical or mechanical manufacturing or repair environmentsKey Competencies Planning & organizationContinuous improvement mindsetStrong communication (written & verbal)Cross-functional collaboration and influenceCost consciousness and business acumenComfort working in both office and shop environmentsWork Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily office-based with regular shop floor interactionOccasional lifting up to 40 lbs (team lift or equipment used for heavier loads)Exposure to shop conditions (noise, machinery, heat/cold) as requiredWhy Join Us High-impact role with visibility across operationsOpportunity to improve systems and influence how work gets doneValues-driven culture focused on ownership, continuous learning, and doing the right thingPowered by JazzHR
