The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, hands‑on network engineering experience, and the ability to support enterprise‑level infrastructure within secure environments.What We Are Looking For:Education & Experience Pathways Candidates must meet one of the following qualification combinations:Option 1 – Master's Degree PathwayA Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.Option 2 – Bachelor's Degree + ExperienceA Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field.PLUS an additional two (2) years of relevant network engineering experience, for a total of eight (8) years.Option 3 – Experience + Industry CertificationIn lieu of a Master's or Bachelor's degree: An additional six (6) years of Network Engineering experienceAND at least one industry‑recognized certification such as: Arista Configuration EssentialsCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Juniper Certification Tracks (Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing & Switching, Junos Security, Service Provider Routing & Switching)For a total of twelve (12) years of experience.CertificationsAn Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I baseline certification (as defined by DoD 8570.01‑M) is required, or the ability to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment.Experience RequirementsA minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support.Experience delivering training aligned with network engineering principles and curriculum.Ideal Candidates Will:Be proficient in the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructures.Have hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar enterprise networking platforms.Understand routing, switching, network security, and performance optimization in high‑security environments.Be capable of supporting cross‑functional engineering efforts and mission‑driven operations.Communicate effectively and respond quickly to operational and technical challenges.What We Offer:Comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision for the employee and family401k Plan with a company contribution; fully vested immediatelyCompany paid Life and AD&D insuranceCompany paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insuranceFlexible Spending AccountsPaid Time Off (PTO)10 paid holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgramTuition Reimbursement Who We Are:Calvert Systems is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business headquartered in Bellevue, Nebraska, with operations in eleven states including the District of Columbia.
