Senior Full Stack Developer - Java

Senior Software Engineer – Java / Angular We’re looking for a *Senior Software Engineer* who is strong in Java/J2EE, comfortable across backend and frontend development, and interested in working in an *AI-forward engineering environment*. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning features end to end, solving complex technical problems, and using modern AI-assisted development tools to improve speed, quality, and productivity. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, QA, and fellow engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment to build and maintain scalable enterprise applications. What You’ll Work On You’ll design, build, and support enterprise applications using technologies such as: * *Java / J2EE* * *Spring Framework* * *Hibernate* * *REST APIs* * *Servlets / JSP* * *Angular* * *JavaScript* * *Multithreading and socket programming* * *SOA, message queues, and caching* * *Oracle / SQL Server* * *JBoss / WildFly / WebSphere* * *Linux* * *JUnit, TDD, and automation frameworks* * *Jenkins, JIRA, SVN, and CI/CD tools* What You’ll Do * Design and develop scalable, high-performance Java/J2EE applications. * Build responsive front-end components using Angular. * Own development work from requirement analysis through implementation, testing, deployment, and support. * Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code. * Participate in peer reviews and technical design discussions. * Investigate and resolve complex production and application issues. * Work closely with QA, Product, Design, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions. * Improve application performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. * Contribute actively to sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. * Share knowledge through documentation, code reviews, and team collaboration. * Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining strong delivery quality. AI-Assisted Engineering This is an *AI-forward engineering role*. You’ll be expected to use tools such as *GitHub Copilot, Codex, and other AI-assisted coding tools* as part of day-to-day development. This may include using AI to support: * Code generation * Refactoring * Code review * Test generation * Troubleshooting * Documentation * Repetitive engineering tasks At the same time, you’ll be responsible for validating AI-generated output for correctness, security, and code quality, and following responsible AI and data-governance practices. What We’re Looking For * *5–7 years of software development experience* * Strong hands-on experience with *Java/J2EE* * Strong knowledge of *Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, Servlets, JSP, JavaScript, multithreading, and socket programming* * Experience with *Angular* * Strong understanding of *object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and distributed systems* * Experience with *SOA, messaging, queues, and caching* * Strong understanding of *secure coding practices and application security* * Experience with *static analysis, dynamic testing, and third-party dependency assessments* * Experience with *unit testing, TDD, and automation* * Experience with *Oracle or SQL Server* * Exposure to *application servers and Linux environments* * Experience with *CI/CD tools* * Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills * Ability to work independently and deliver within Agile sprint timelines Nice to Have * Experience with performance tuning and complex SQL * Experience modernizing mature enterprise applications * Experience with distributed systems and enterprise integration * Strong hands-on use of AI coding assistants and agentic development tools * Familiarity with responsible AI usage, prompt design, output validation, and data-handling practices Why This Role This is a hands-on engineering role with meaningful ownership.
