This is a flexible opportunity ideal for a therapist looking for a small weekly caseload while making a meaningful impact in a school setting.Position Overview: The Physical Therapist will work with students to evaluate and address physical and motor development challenges that impact their ability to participate in the educational environment. The PT will collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student mobility, accessibility, and independence within the school setting.Key Responsibilities:Provide physical therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans to address mobility, strength, coordination, and functional movementCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providersMaintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state requirementsProvide recommendations for adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations when appropriateParticipate in IEP meetings as neededQualifications:Must hold an active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the State of MichiganNew graduates are welcome to applyPediatric or school-based experience preferredStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently with a small caseloadSchedule & Hours:Approximately 24 hours per weekFlexible scheduling based on student needs and school availabilityWhy This Role:Flexible, low-hour commitmentOpportunity to work directly with students and support their educational successIdeal supplemental role for therapists working in clinics, hospitals, or private practice
