Position: ISM Auditor - 160348Location: Chesapeake, VADays: Monday thru FridayTravel: 100%Relocation Allocation: NoCompany Background Investigation, US Citizenship, CAC and a confidential security clearance is required for this position.Position Description:Senior Safety Management System Specialist - I: The person(s) shall meet all qualifications listed below and provide documented license and certificates with resume submission. Holds or has held a USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC), with the following rating and endorsements: a minimum of First Assistant Engineer (steam, motor or gas turbine) of unlimited horsepower, or Chief Mate, unlimited tonnage (the MMC may be in a "Continuity" status). A minimum of five years of sea service sailing under that license on board USCG certificated ships of unlimited tonnage or horsepower. Completion of formal ISM Code Auditor training. A minimum of four years of experience conducting audits IAW the ISM Code. Experience with SOLAS, Life Saving Appliance Code, Fire Safety System Code, MARPOL, 33 Code of Federal Regulations, 46 Code of Federal Regulations, and ABS Rules.Education/Certification Requirements:USCG Merchant Marine Credential (MMC), with the following rating and endorsements: minimum of First Assistant Engineer (steam, motor or gas turbine) of unlimited horsepower or Chief Mate, unlimited tonnage (the MMC may be in a "Continuity" status)ISM Code Auditor Course Certificate
