Associate Operator Marketing Manager – Citadels (Houston. TX) Max Bill Rate: *** UPDATE FROM MANAGER: For these roles, I am looking for someone who specifically has foodservice background, preferably in marketing. The individual should have a keen understanding of their respective market/city, specifically food trends, large community events tailored around culinary/chef community. I need someone with a creative background who can bring large national brands to life with a local feel. The individual should have a history of executing marketing campaigns that encompass digital, social, and event creation. This individual, although a part of the operator marketing team, will be fully engaged with the sales team, and supporting their overall citadel strategy. What this entails includes but is not limited to, supporting with local campaigns that engage with operators and generates leads for the sales team, creates and executes events on a large scale in the local market, and will build our brands, specifically Knorr and Hellmann's/Best Foods in the city. Several of the candidates that I did reject, had retail backgrounds but not foodservice, which is okay, but I really need someone who understand the foodservice operator and has more of a culinary understanding. One individual did come from the foodservice side, but was from the broker world and her level of marketing was only email. The skillset as shared above should be more wholistic campaign creation. WL: 1C JOB PURPOSE *** Food Solutions (UFS) is the foodservice division of ***, a global, branded, powerhouse focusing on delivering products and solutions to Chefs across operator groups in over 70 countries. Our brands, products and full-service offering provide solutions to our operators to meet the demands of this fast-paced industry, and we do this through close collaboration across sales, culinary and marketing. The Operator Marketing team plays a critical role in this collaboration, and has end-to-end responsibility in understanding the key operator group insights, identifying the pain points, and designing value added solutions that results in growth for our customers and our business. Who You Are & What You'll Do: The Associate Operator Marketing Manager – Citadels will be a part of the Go-to-Market team responsible for growth in designated Citadels. You will work collaboratively with sales & culinary to deliver value-add solutions to small restaurant chains, focusing on hyper-local insights, relevancy of content, and the city-specific foodservice scene. You will be responsible for the end-to-end operator journey, and you will be accountable for delivering business targets in the city and zone. Hyper-Local Insights on key operator groups Deep understanding of foodservice landscape in designated city to identify actionable insights Hyper-local focus to understand the foodservice scene, menus, competitor base and consumer make-up in designated cities Ability to translate insights into execution plan, with end-to-end responsibility from design to landing in marketplace Demand Creation: Small Restaurant Chains Localize master brand campaign content to develop tools and assets that the sales team can use to drive demand with their target customers Collaborate with culinary to deliver regionalized menu inspiration Create operator group specific content that can be leveraged across digital touchpoints to drive demand generation Support efforts to increase contactable operator database Operator Engagement Identify local foodservice events & activities where UFS should have a presence and develop 360 plan to maximize opportunity, from objectives of participation all the way through to execution with end to end responsibility Collaborate across marketing (digital, trade) to ensure consistency in messaging in key Citadels and relevancy of content for target operator group. What You'll Need To Succeed 4-year College Degree in marketing, business or culinary 3+ years of experience in foodservice or relevant corporate; experience in sales a plus Proven track record of developing relationships in cross-functional teams and comfortable in engaging with customers Strong project management, presentation skills and business acumen Proficiency and drive to become a proficient user of our systems (Salesforce.com, Power BI) Passion for driving results with a strong interest in the food industry.
