Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionReports to: Dean of EnrollmentSchedule: 12-month facultyFUNCTION: Under the guidance of the Dean of Enrollment Management, the Associate Director of Admission will assist with all functions of the Admission Office, including but not limited to the overall promotion of the school and its mission and the preparation and support for admission, retention, and enrollment events throughout the year with an emphasis on fall recruitment. Needs to demonstrate and maintain applicant and family confidentiality throughout the admission process. This role will also be the primary point person in the office for all enrollment related technology systems and functionality.Duties And ResponsibilitiesBe a major contributor in developing and executing a strategic vision for recruitment and enrollment of qualified students. International and domestic travel will be required.Effectively communicate, by word and deed, the mission of Cheshire Academy to prospective students and their families.Manage and maintain admission specific technology (FinalSite) and its accompanying reporting, communications, and drip campaigns in coordination with the IT and Marketing departments.Develop and cultivate relationships with prospective parents and students throughout the application process.Collaborate with the Admission Office team to effectively coordinate all admission recruitment events (shadow days, school fairs, open houses, receptions, visit days, etc.)Interview applicants and families and review applications in collaboration with the admission committee and student success team.Sit on internal and external committees as appropriate to enrich the exposure and institutional and industry knowledge of Cheshire Academy. Serve as a department liaison as directed by the Dean of Enrollment. Perform other duties as assigned by Dean of Enrollment Management and/or Head of School.RequirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree required.5-7 years of Admissions experience or other comparable experience.Experience with independent day and boarding schools preferred.Technology experience including Microsoft Office products and FinalSite preferred. Skills And AbilitiesPositive attitude with a team player approach to work. Willingness to enthusiastically travel domestically and internationally.Ability to work occasionally on nights and weekends as necessary.Must demonstrate energy and determination necessary to provide valuable and timely services to prospective and newly enrolling students and families.Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including communicating effectively with all constituents in a school environment, including students, co-workers, parents, alumni, volunteers, trustees, and the public.Comfortable with public speaking and presentations.Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of alumni, parents, students, faculty, and staff.
