Packaging EngineerLocation: Tempe, AZ (On-site minimum 3 days/week)Position SummaryWe are seeking a Packaging Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and validation of sterile medical device packaging systems. This role will focus on sterile barrier packaging including polymer trays, Tyvek lids, and flexible film pouches, while partnering cross-functionally with R&D, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop sterile medical packaging solutionsSupport packaging activities for polymer trays, Tyvek lids, and film pouchesExecute design verification and validation testing, including seal strength, burst, leak, aging, and distribution testingCreate and maintain technical documentation, protocols, and reportsCollaborate with suppliers and internal teams to support product development and manufacturingEnsure compliance with FDA, ISO 11607, and applicable medical device packaging standardsSupport troubleshooting, investigations, and continuous improvement activitiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in sterile medical packaging engineeringExperience with sterile barrier systems and design verification testingFamiliarity with polymer trays, Tyvek lids, and flexible film pouchesKnowledge of ISO 11607 and medical device packaging requirementsStrong communication and technical documentation skillsWork EnvironmentOn-site in Tempe at least 3 days per weekCollaborative team environment with two on-site packaging engineersTerm & Start6+ month contractStart ASAPBenefits Available
