Packaging Operator

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Packaging Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining packaging machinery within a fast-paced food production environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial equipment, material handling, and adherence to GMP and safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, contribute to efficient production processes, and ensure product quality. Responsibilities Operate packaging machines and related equipment efficiently and safely to meet production targets. Perform routine troubleshooting and minor repairs on packaging machinery, including mechanical adjustments and basic diagnostics. Handle materials using equipment such as pallet jacks, hand tools, and material handling equipment to ensure smooth workflow. Conduct quality checks on packaged products, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of work areas in accordance with safety protocols and GMP requirements. Assist in changeovers of packaging lines, including setup and calibration of machinery. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents or injuries. Document production activities accurately and report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly. Skills Experience operating packaging machines and industrial equipment in a manufacturing or food production setting. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is preferred. Knowledge of GMP, CGMP, safety standards in production, and proper PPE use. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, weights, and counts. Understanding of machine operation, machining processes, and the use of hand tools for minor repairs or adjustments. Strong adherence to safety protocols during all aspects of packaging operations. Warehouse experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with inventory management and material flow within a production environment. This role is vital for maintaining high-quality packaging standards while ensuring a safe working environment through strict compliance with safety protocols and GMP guidelines.
