Senior Program Manager

ResponsibilitiesProvides direction and management for every phase of significant projects or programs to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligationsNegotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractorsResponsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the projectOversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as requiredCollaborates with the Program Director and Business Team to establish the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteriaResponsible for the development and distribution of reference documentation including project detailsPlans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned projectAssigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengthsProvides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinatesMobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality workWorks with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a projectEnsures that the project meets or exceeds the goals established in these plansWorks with the key project individual to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of workMonitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or scheduleEstablishes weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action itemsSupports and promotes various company technologies to provide current and new clients with a differentiated technology solutionActs as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program executionQualificationsBroad general technical and business background, as well as previous project management experience on similar or related large-scope project typesProven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also requiredKnowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on a project or within the market spaceUtility domain experienceRequirementsThis position requires you to be based in Northern California, preferably within 100 mile proximity of San MateoProgram or Project Management professional certification, highly preferredBachelor's degree from an accredited institution
