Private Equity Associate: Tech-enabled Services

A leading private equity investment firm is looking to add a Private Equity Associate to its investment team in San Francisco. The role will focus on investing in tech-enabled services businesses within the lower middle market.The Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals across the full investment lifecycle, with meaningful exposure to sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio management.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate new investment opportunities within the tech-enabled services sectorBuild detailed LBO, operating, and financial modelsConduct valuation and returns analysis, including sensitivity and scenario analysesPerform industry, company, and competitive researchLead and coordinate financial, commercial, operational, and legal due diligencePrepare investment committee presentations, underwriting materials, and transaction documentationSupport deal execution from initial diligence through closingParticipate in management meetings and calls with company executives, advisors, lenders, and other stakeholdersMonitor portfolio company performance and assist with value-creation initiativesSupport the team with market mapping, thematic research, and sourcing initiativesIdeal Background2–4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a similarly rigorous transaction-oriented rolePrior experience with M&A and/or LBO transactionsStrong financial modeling and valuation capabilitiesExperience covering technology, software, business services, IT services, or tech-enabled services preferredStrong analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and ownership
